The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide is pleased to announce the formal constitution of the Lagos Chapter Electoral Committee (CECO) to oversee the forthcoming Lagos Chapter elections, scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Navy Barracks, Ajegunle, Lagos.

The nominees who make up the CECO emerged from the recently concluded Lagos Chapter Congress, reflecting the collective will of members in line with the IYC Constitution and guiding principles, as ratified during the last National Convention at Ijaw House, Yenagoa.

In a call for unity, the President of IYC Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, urged all members to embrace peace, brotherhood, and sportsmanship throughout the electoral process, stressing that the strength of the Council lies in its unity and democratic values.
