Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide Pays Condolence Visit To Tuomo Community
Over the weekend, the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, led a high-powered delegation of Council executives and key stakeholders to Tuomo community in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State. The visit was to commiserate with Mr. Thompson Robert Fuoye, a prominent stakeholder of the Council, as he laid his beloved father, Late Pa Fuoye, to rest.
The presence of the IYC leadership and structures underscored the deep spirit of unity, respect, and solidarity that binds the Ijaw nation.
In his remarks, the IYC President described Late Pa Fuoye as a man of integrity, peace, and commitment to the progress of his community. He lauded the deceased’s contributions to harmony and development in Tuomo and Ijaw land at large, noting that his legacies would continue to inspire future generations.
Responding, Mr. Thompson Robert Fuoye expressed heartfelt gratitude to the IYC leadership and members for their overwhelming show of love and support during his family’s period of grief. He pledged to uphold the values of unity, service, and dedication exemplified by his late father.
