The Revered President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr., 9th President of the IYC Worldwide, led a high-powered delegation on a condolence visit to our leader and former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, Distinguished Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District. The visit was to formally commiserate with him over the sudden and painful demise of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, a loss that has deeply shaken the state and the entire Ijaw nation.

Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr., while speaking on behalf of the IYC Worldwide, described the late Deputy Governor as a dedicated servant of the people whose commitment to good governance, peace, and development left an indelible mark on Bayelsa State. He emphasized that the passing of such a promising and patriotic leader is not only a personal loss to the Dickson political family but also a grave loss to Bayelsa State and the Niger Delta at large.

The IYC delegation expressed profound sympathy to Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, acknowledging his close working relationship and shared vision with the late Deputy Governor in advancing the interests of the people.
