The National Electoral Committee of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, 2026, hereby informs all stakeholders, aspirants, delegates, and members that the venue earlier stated in the Election Timetable/Schedule of Activities for the screening of aspirants has been reviewed. This adjustment became necessary in order to ensure inclusiveness, fairness, and adequate participation of all zones in the electoral process leading to the forthcoming National Elections 2026.

In line with the commitment of the Committee to carry every zone along and promote transparency throughout the electioneering process, the ELECO hereby officially announces the approved venue and schedule for the screening of aspirants contesting for positions into the National Executive Council of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide. All aspirants are therefore advised to take note of the new arrangements and make themselves available accordingly with all required documents and credentials for screening.

The Committee further urges all aspirants, stakeholders, and members of the Council to continue to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly throughout the electoral process. The ELECO remains committed to delivering a free, fair, credible, and transparent election that will strengthen the unity and progress of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide.
