My dear Leaders, Elders, and Stakeholders of our great Ijaw Nation,

As my tenure as President of the Ijaw Youth Council, (IYC) Worldwide draws to a close, it is only proper and befitting that I begin with words of deep gratitude.

On behalf of the entire IYC family, I extend my profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri; to our revered Elders, and all other stakeholders of our struggle, for your fatherly guidance and unwavering commitment to the peace process that made the peaceful IYC National Unity Election of 11th July, 2026, possible.

Your intervention was not by accident. It was a deliberate act of love for our people. You displayed a strong and unshakable desire to ensure that the Ijaw Nation remains united, indivisible, and focused on our common destiny.

The time you gave, the energy you expended, and the resources you committed to keeping Ijaw Youths in one accord are deeply appreciated.

Indeed, the sacrifice you made cannot be quantified. It has resolved a matter that could have lingered and caused unquantifiable damage to our march toward progress. By your wisdom, you saved the Ijaw Nation from needless division.

These sacrifices will be etched in the annals of our history as a testament to visionary leadership and selfless service to our people.

While the victory of this peace belongs to the entire Ijaw Nation, we return all glory and honour to the Almighty God who saw us through every storm and brought us to this shore of peace and unity.
