HRH Asari Dokubo Embraces Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr Ahead of IYC Transition
In a strategic move to promote unity, stability, and continuity within the Ijaw Nation, the President of the 9th National Executive Council (NEC) of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, the Dabaye Amakiri I and Amayanabo of the Source (Elem Kalabari). The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to consolidate peace as the council approaches its forthcoming leadership transition.
In a show of growing momentum toward peace and inclusiveness, Sir Lokpobiri was accompanied by Member’s of the NEC, key stakeholders, including the Eastern Zonal Chairman, Comrade Datolu, the Chairman of the Abuja Chapter Comrade Emmanuel C Deinma , and respected elder statesman, Elder Ebi Waribigha (popularly known as Don Skido). The high-level engagement created a platform for frank and constructive dialogue with the revered monarch, framed as a symbolic father-son interaction anchored on trust, respect, and a shared vision for a united Ijaw Nation.
During the meeting, HRH Asari Dokubo warmly received the delegation and expressed strong confidence in the leadership of Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr. As a founding father and former President of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, the monarch reaffirmed his longstanding dedication to the peace, progress, and collective aspirations of the Niger Delta region.
In a clear demonstration of solidarity, HRH Asari Dokubo assured the IYC President of his unwavering support, pledging to contribute meaningfully toward ensuring a smooth, peaceful, and credible transition process.
