The Ijaw Youth Council National Eleco, headed by Dr. Charles Ikimi as chairman, today paid a courtesy visit to the Pioneer President Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide Dr. Felix Tuodolo.

The purpose of the visit was to inform him of the activities of the ELECO with respect to the forthcoming Elective Convention.

During the visit, the National ELECO Chairman expressed the commitment of the ELECO in conducting a free, fair & credible elections, that complies with the constitution of council.

In his response, Dr. Felix Tuodolo commended the National ELECO for their efforts and urged them to uphold the mandate of the Ijaw Youth Council, which is to foster unity and development among Ijaw youths. He also stressed the importance of conducting a transparent and credible election, stating that the future of the Ijaw nation depends on the leaders that will emerge.

Dr. Felix Tuodolo further advised them to work closely with stakeholders in the council to ensure the success of the election. He also assured them of his support and promised to offer any assistance where needed.

The visit ended with a vote of thanks from the National ELECO Chairman Dr. Charles Ikimi (an Associate Professor at the Federal University Otuoke) who expressed gratitude to the former President for his words of wisdom and for his promise to continuously support and stand with the National ELECO.
